The Karn Family – Owner / Operators
Consisting of “Mom” Nancy, “Dad” Greg, and sons Alex and Chris, the Karns live on the kennel property and actively participate in all aspects of its operation; including everything from caring for the animals during their stay, to all the day-to-day “behind the scenes” business responsibilities and physical upkeep of the kennel. As life-long animal lovers, they have many pets of their own, and lovingly maintain a small farm populated with a large and varied array of livestock; almost all of whom were rescued. In addition to devoting as much time as possible to Happy Tails; Nancy volunteers with several local rescue organizations and Greg works in the Emergency Room at a local hospital. Older son Alex is currently excelling in his studies at a nearby college and Chris is an outstanding student at a local-area high school. Both young men also work part-time caring for our furry friends as well as their fabulous owners at Happy Tails.
Jill – Kennel Manager
Jill is a long-time Happy Tails employee who began as a kennel attendant and worked her way up to Kennel Manager. As the Manager, Jill is responsible for all aspects of the operation of the kennel on a daily basis. Jill has a deep love for animals and knows every aspect of the kennel, inside and out. She pays strict attention to detail and cleanliness at all times. Jill is also extremely observant and attuned to the behavior and character of each and every animal in our care. Jill is the proud “Mommy” of Jordyn, who keeps her very busy when she is not working at the kennel. She is also the owner of “Fonzie”, her mischievous black adopted kitty, and “Brock”, her adorable Miniature Australian Shepherd.
